Are you looking to buy a home in 2022? It’s a crazy market out there, and so I’m going to give you quick tips that should help as you make your foray into the world of real estate purchasing in 2022.
First money, second house
Here is the most important thing to keep in mind- the correct order in which you should pursue real estate money. First money, second house. Kinda of like going to the store and forgetting your wallet, getting your money arranged first is super critical in this market. It’s totally understandable because it’s easy to look at the house first and start home shopping. The house is what’s so cool; the mortgage- let’s be honest- is just a tool to get the house. But you want to get pre-qualified first before you start actually shopping for homes.
In fact, if you call a seller or a real estate agent on a house you’re interested in, one of the very first questions they will ask is “have you been prequalified or do you have a way to pay for this house? Should we decide to sell it to you?”
Know All Your Options
Another really important part of this is when you’re arranging your pre-qualification. You may have options available to you that you were not aware of. We just had a client in our office a couple of days ago, looking for a particular home.
We looked at all sorts of different angles on how they could get the best possible mortgage for their situation, and there were actually two angles they hadn’t considered that gave them more options than they thought. And it made it possible for them to shop for a home that was more than what they originally thought they could afford. You never know what options are available to you. You want to lay out that plan as early as you possibly can, and you do that by getting prequalified and getting your money first.
So let’s get that process going right now. Start the process of getting prequalified, getting quotes, educating yourself, getting to know us a little bit better and letting us get to know you because we want to hear your story. That’s the only way we can help you get a loan that really, really works for you. So let’s get that money lined up first, and get you ready to buy a home in 2022.
